Economic Development Authority

The City of Aitkin established an Economic Development Authority (EDA) in 1992.
The purpose of the EDA is to conduct various economic development, housing, and redevelopment programs and activities within the corporate boundaries of the City of Aitkin.  Membership of the EDA consists of two City Council Members appointed by the Mayor, the Director of the Aitkin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), one Board Member of the HRA, and the Aitkin County Commissioner of District 1.
